It is now “electronic” membership only. (Btw, if you signed up online – congrats! Easy, wasn’t it?!)

THIS IS THE "WELCOME LETTER" YOU GET WHEN YOU ARE NEW ONLY. After that, it is the last time you receive it from us. We have put it here, for your review regarding PDF, Adobe Reader, and Macro-media Flash.

If you have A.D.D. – too bad. This is one time you should slow down, get off your SmartPhone, and read something worth your while. You’ll be smarter for it. lol. ;0) (I joke around a lot too)

WORKING eADDY?
Hopefully if you gave me a work eAddy, it's okay to send email to your work. You may get your initial "welcome email", but when an eBlast is attached with 350+ other OTLPA members eAddys, your ISP may see it as spam and block me. You have to be careful that they are not blocked...as we would never know. Further, if you are a past-OTLPA member but are renewing late in the year....from now on, we will only honor the renewal for the year the payment is paid. We will not honor any more late renewals after OMBAC for the next year as long as we have tourneys happening within the rest of that year's OTL season. So lesson here is, renew around Nov. to Dec. 31st each year, so you get a full year's benefits. (We do give you a 3-mo "grace period" until March 31st max.) Otherwise, you are just gypping yourself. REMINDER, when we send out a mass-mailing to the membership, some ISPs see this as “spam” and might block or completely BOUNCE us or will put in the SPAM folder! This will not be our fault. And we will NOT know. Make sure you check your Spam Mailbox often. Make sure OTLPAnews@aol.com is not blocked. Check your settings. If you have YAHOO, EARTHLINK, JUNO or HOTMAIL and now GMAIL – They do this often.

UPDATED DATABASE
I have you updated on our database. We respect the way you wish to be listed in the Membership Directory also (unlisted, etc.). The Membership Directory is only sent out via email now. If you change your eAddy, it is up to YOU to tell us - or you will not get the periodic info.

OMBAC TENT
Please note, if you paid a “Family membership”…whereby it’s two or more persons receiving info at the same address but you may have two different last names…when you check in at the OMBAC OTLPA Tent, please look up your name by both names. We may have you listed in the database under one line; under the other last name. You have free in&out usage of the OTLPA Tent at OMBAC. 2nd Saturday we have free food and beverages for our members. Consumption is to be in the OTLPA Tent area (OMBAC rule). WE CANNOT TAKE RENEWING OR NEW MEMBER MONIES AT OMBAC NEXT YEAR! YOU MUST DO IT WAY BEFOREHAND OR BE S.O.L. sorry.

Please double-check. You can double-check the Members page. Make sure your name is there. This is how you check if you are renewed and you can’t remember if you renewed each year!

THIS YEAR we are bringing back the old. RENEWING SINGLE = $20 / FAMILY = $30
NEW MEMBERS SINGLE = $25 / FAMILY = $40
Note: If you let your membership “lapse” a year, you will be taken off our database, and considered NEW again when you finally get around to renewing. You will be charged the higher price. So it’s cheaper to just remember to renew each year and stay in good-standing. The extra cost is an admin-fee. Those that don't renew by March 31st, will be considered NEW again and pay the higher price.

NEW MEMBERS: We will send the latest OTLPA snoozeletter under separate email. It comes out two or three times a year, when we have a good amount of info to share. (More urgent info comes in eBlasts.) Please do not pass the newsletter along to non-members, unless you are trying to recruit. We feel that membership should have its privileges. You will need Adobe Reader to open .pdf files which is the way the Snoozeletter comes to you. If you do not have this, you can get a free version from this link. It changes all the time, but it should be about 3 basic steps. Just follow your common-sense for the type of computer you have.
Click on DOWNLOAD
Click on RUN - if your virus program ask to "allow" or "run"...do so.
(If it asks to replace any old versions, say yes)
It may say CONTINUE or FINISH or NEXT or EXIT something similar.
 
You should do the updates every couple months, because they always have newer better versions coming out. If your computer is too old, you may not be able to upgrade the latest Updates. If so, you may not be able to read the file or see the website.

MEMBERS ONLY - When you become a member, we will give you a username and password login so that you can access a Members-Only section of the website. We will assign you the login and give you the easy instructions. You will be able to go there to email friends/players or get their ph# (if they allow to be listed). We will also have an area for you to access the latest Newsletter(s). Do not share your login with non-members. Membership should have its privileges, right? Do not ever try to change your password or email info we have set you up with, or your privileges to this area will be banned.

If our website looks "funky" and all discombobulated, or you can't open our website, you NEED Macromedia Flash on your computer (and can't read this right now!)....it's a simple, free download and everyone should have it already, as it's a pretty standard s/w today...be sure to unclick any free subscriptions if they ask (I can't remember becoz I haven't done it in a long time)....& that's all you need to do. It won’t attach any spam or spyware. The front page does change all the time tho….Everyone should have Macromedia Flash tho; this is how you see a lot of websites animation, videos and things you receive in emails from your friends and business. Thank you once again, for your continued support. And please note that we are now completely “electronic” and paperless with our correspondence to you. You MUST have access to a computer and be online from here on out (preferably at home as most work emails are cracking down on personal email), or you’re going to be S.O.L. with most communication. So very sorry. There is absolutely no paper-anything anymore. This has been eliminated becoz it created a ton more work for me (janet). (Electronically I don’t have to deal with printing a master or labels, or runs back and forth to Post Office and the Printers, stamping, labeling, folding or mutilating.) For future reference, if you give us the wrong email addy, I can't read your hand-writing on your app, or you change your eaddy, it will be your responsibility to correct this, by letting us know. And if anyone does renew membership at a tourney, it is IMPERATIVE that they accompany their renewal monies with a filled-out app, or I have no record of the transaction otherwise.
THIS year RENEWING Singles will be $20 and RENEWING Family will be $30 (like it is now).
THIS year NEW Singles will be $25 and NEW Family will be $40.
Breaks in yearly renewals (not paid by March 31st) will be treated as NEW and pay the higher prices for creating us extra admin work. (Using a credit card, will incur an automatic small transaction fee that goes to Paypal.)

You can get to our website via “.org” or “.com”. You don't even have to type the "www".
Both are owned by us and work when you can’t remember which is which.
